Branding and Progress Update 5
The eagle eyed amongst you may have noticed we changed our logo a month or so back. We now wanted to share some of our branding officially which was put together by a great designer.
When we started work on transforming our new base for accommodation in Ballycastle, we knew that we wanted to create a space that’s unique. Something different to what you’re used to seeing when travelling. We wanted to curate a really cool hub that perfectly balances simplicity without being “basic”, but we also wanted to take things a step further, build a real community here and provide locals and tourists with a base for events, retreats and experience groups.
We’re open-minded and connect people through immersive and inclusive experiences. We want to build relationships and form partnerships with local businesses and so that we can create an authentic local cultural experiences grounded in our landscape.
As a team, we’re very much salt of the earth, big on adventure, connection, activities and creating experiences that truly make us feel alive and felt it was important to create visual branding that really represented these values and who we are. Something outgoing, uber-friendly and cool and the design team really brought our vision to life.
We love the fun typeface of Lagom which has been modified specifically for us and our simple submark represents where the sea meets the land here on the North Coast. The colours are bold, yet earthy and encapsulates what North Coast living is all about.
We’d love to know your thoughts on our branding and what you love about it. Plus, if you’re a local service provider, feel free to get in touch to see how we can collaborate over the coming months as Lagom gets closer to opening its doors.
We’re also going to be mixing things up on the blog.
In the spirit of building connections, providing valuable local knowledge and encouraging people to adventure and explore our small corner of the world, we wanted to start sharing some of our favourite places to adventure here on the North Coast.
We’ll definitely be keeping you up to date with the big house transformation but also want to inspire you to book your next (or first visit) to the Causeway Coast so will be sharing some of our favourite events, experiences and activities you can do in the local area so you can plan your adventure ready for our grand opening later this year.
The lads have been full steam ahead the last couple of weeks and are flying along with the progress. Our top floor looks more and more like a home every day. This stage of the project always tends to get exciting as months (well, years) of hard work finally starts to come together.
Looking forward to sharing more with you soon,
Team Lagom ✌️
