Lagom – Progress Update 04

The plasterers finished the upper floor at Lagom last week which means we’ll soon be onto the finishing touches of this big house transformation. Whilst the reclaimed wood floor is restored and installed we wanted to share a little bit more about the vision for this north coast adventure lodge.

As a brand, we’re big on connection, community, experience and events, which is why the top floor is completely dedicated to meeting like-minded travellers and hearing people’s stories.

We saw a gap in the market and wanted to bring a better experience to adventure travellers, freedom seekers and remote workers who visit the north coast of Northern Ireland.

We wanted to create an accommodation that combines the simplicity and accessibility of a lodge with higher quality touches you’d expect from a local AirBnB. We’ve stayed in a lot of similar accomodation around the world and have sampled the best bits of everything we’ve seen and combined it into something really special, creating a unique base for explorers here on the north coast.

A hub for like-minded individuals to chill, connect and collaborate with each other while exploring some of the best surfing, hiking and climbing that Northern Ireland has to offer.

And our upper floor here at Lagom encompasses this vision to a T.

As you come up the stairs you’ll be greeted by a large lounge we intend on using as a space to relax, host movie nights, small events and the occasional yoga class for those of you ready to rest and reset after a busy summer.

To your left, a large glass door will lead to the communal kitchen, lots of seating, huge feast tables and an opportunity to connect with your travel buddies while cooking up a storm.

But the highlight of the upper section of the house has to be the library. Nestled between the mid and upper floor, it will be the perfect, cosy hub to map out your next adventure or curl up with a good book in our reading nooks.

Plus, there’s one or two really unique features in the works which we’re keeping under wraps for now, but be sure to follow along for updates so you can join us in seeing our vision come to life over the next few months.
