Lagom Elopement Terms & Conditions

These Elopement Terms & Conditions apply to all elopement bookings at Stay Lagom.

They should be read in conjunction with the Lagom Terms & Conditions, which apply as standard to all reservations, accommodation stays, group bookings, and events. In the event of any conflict, these Elopement Terms & Conditions take precedence for elopement-related matters only.

By confirming an elopement booking, you agree to both the Lagom Terms & Conditions and the additional terms set out below.

1. Nature of Elopements

1.1 Elopements at Lagom are experience-led celebrations, not styled photoshoots.

1.2 The day is designed to be enjoyed as it unfolds naturally. Photography and content capture are a reflection of the experience rather than a pre-defined shot list.

1.3 No specific images, moments, timings, or outcomes can be guaranteed.

2. Minimum Booking Period

2.1 Elopements must be booked a minimum of three months in advance of the scheduled elopement date.

2.2 Bookings requested within three months of the elopement date may be declined.

3. Booking & Payment Schedule

3.1 A staged payment structure applies to all elopement bookings:

    • 40% deposit due at the time of booking to secure the date
    • 30% due six months prior to the elopement date
    • 30% due three months prior to the elopement date

3.2 No accommodation, suppliers, or services are confirmed until the initial deposit has been received.

3.3 Failure to meet payment deadlines may result in cancellation in line with the cancellation terms below.

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling

4.1 Cancellation terms follow the same structure as the payment schedule.

4.2 Payments already made are non-refundable once the corresponding payment stage has passed. The cancellation charge will reflect the payments due at the time of cancellation.

4.3 While payments are non-refundable, the Lagom team is always happy to explore rescheduling where possible, subject to availability and supplier commitments.

4.4 Rescheduling requests must be made in writing and are not guaranteed.

5. Weather & Schedule Changes

5.1 Elopements often take place outdoors and in natural environments.

5.2 Weather conditions or environmental factors may require changes to timing, locations, or the structure of the day.

5.3 Such changes are considered part of the elopement experience and do not constitute a failure of service or grounds for refund.

6. Creative Direction & Photography

6.1 Creative direction, timing, and locations are guided by professional judgement from the photographer and planning partners.

6.2 By booking an elopement, couples acknowledge and accept the artistic style and approach of the photographer and planning team.

6.3 Photography outcomes are subjective and cannot be guaranteed to personal taste.

7. Guest Numbers

7.1 Guest numbers must be agreed in advance and are subject to strict maximum limits depending on the location and package selected.

7.2 Exceeding agreed guest numbers may result in additional charges or refusal of access to certain areas.

8. Inclusions & Optional Extras

8.1 Only services explicitly listed in the confirmed elopement package are included.

8.2 Optional extras are charged separately, subject to availability, and may incur additional planning fees where applicable.

8.3 Prices for optional extras are indicative and may change depending on supplier pricing and planning requirements.

9. Planning Time

9.1 Each elopement package includes a defined amount of planning and coordination time.

9.2 Additional planning beyond the included allowance may be charged at an hourly rate.

10. Third-Party Suppliers

10.1 Where third-party suppliers are involved, including photographers, celebrants, stylists, or other vendors, they remain responsible for the delivery of their own services.

10.2 Lagom acts as a coordinator and host and is not liable for the performance, conduct, or outcomes of third-party suppliers.

11. Photography, Video & Guest Consent

11.1 Photography and video may be captured during elopements by Lagom’s partner photographers, videographers, or content creators.

11.2 By confirming an elopement booking, the lead booker confirms that all guests attending are aware that photography and video will take place and that their consent has been obtained for them to appear in imagery.

11.3 Lagom and its partner suppliers may use imagery from the elopement for portfolio, marketing, and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.

11.4 If any guest does not consent to being photographed or filmed, this must be communicated to Lagom in writing.

12. Events, Conduct & Estate Use

12.1 Elopements remain subject to the conduct, noise, decoration, and estate-use rules set out in the Lagom Terms & Conditions.

12.2 Unapproved events, additional guests, or activities outside the agreed elopement structure are strictly prohibited.

13. General

13.1 Elopements are intimate, personal experiences shaped by people, place, and conditions on the day.

13.2 By confirming an elopement booking, couples acknowledge that flexibility, trust, and openness to the experience are essential parts of what makes a Lagom elopement special.

14. Package Selection & Scope

14.1 All services, products, and inclusions selected at the time of booking are contractually agreed and cannot be reduced once confirmed.

14.2 Package elements may be upgraded subject to availability, but cannot be downgraded.

14.3 Coverage hours for photography, videography, or coordination are agreed in advance. Any additional time requested on the day will be charged at the supplier’s prevailing hourly rate and must be settled before images or deliverables are released.

15. Payments, Late Fees & Non-Payment

15.1 Elopement payment schedules are set out in Section 3 of these terms.

15.2 Late payments may incur administrative fees in line with supplier terms.

15.3 Failure to make payments when due may result in planning being paused and, in extreme circumstances, services not being delivered on the day.

16. Cancellations, Postponements & Price Changes

16.1 Cancellation terms are governed by Section 4 of these terms.

16.2 Where an elopement is postponed and cannot be rescheduled with all suppliers, the booking may be treated as a cancellation.

16.3 Lagom reserves the right to apply a rescheduling or rearrangement fee and to apply current package pricing where supplier costs have increased.

17. Unforeseen Circumstances & Supplier Substitution

17.1 In the unlikely event that a key supplier is unable to deliver services due to illness, injury, or unforeseen circumstances, a suitable substitute may be arranged where possible.

17.2 Where substitution is not possible, liability is limited to a refund proportionate to the services not delivered.

17.3 Lagom and its suppliers are not liable for losses arising from cancellations, including travel, accommodation outside Lagom, or personal expenses.

18. Planning Services & Decision Approval

18.1 Lagom will coordinate planning and liaise with suppliers on the couple’s behalf as part of the elopement service.

18.2 Concepts, timelines, locations, and mood boards will be shared for approval. Once approved, responsibility for those decisions rests with the couple.

18.3 Lagom is not responsible for the legal validity of ceremonies unless explicitly agreed in writing.

19. External Suppliers & Additional Services

19.1 Any suppliers engaged outside the agreed elopement package remain solely responsible for their own services, insurance, and health and safety compliance.

19.2 Lagom may liaise with external suppliers but is not liable for their performance or outcomes.

20. Schedule, Cooperation & Conduct

20.1 A running order will be prepared in advance. While every effort is made to accommodate desired moments or images, these cannot be guaranteed due to factors including weather, timing, and guest cooperation.

20.2 The couple’s wishes take priority. Requests from guests may be declined if time or conditions do not allow.

20.3 Lagom reserves the right to cease services if staff or suppliers are subjected to verbal abuse, unsafe behaviour, or threatening conduct.

21. Image Delivery, Storage & Complaints

21.1 Image delivery timelines are typically between 6 and 12 weeks after the elopement, subject to seasonal workload and unforeseen circumstances.

21.2 Online galleries are provided for a limited period. Guests are responsible for downloading and backing up their images.

21.3 Any concerns regarding delivered images must be raised within 7 days of gallery delivery. After this period, the service will be deemed accepted.

22. Data Protection & Privacy

22.1 Images and personal data are stored securely in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

22.2 Couples and guests may request deletion of personal data or imagery, subject to legal and contractual limitations.

22.3 Lagom will not share personal data with third parties without consent, except where required to deliver the agreed services.

23. Use of Images & Copyright

23.1 Images are supplied for personal use only. Commercial use, resale, or publication is not permitted without written consent.

23.2 Editing, filtering, or altering delivered images is not permitted.

23.3 Copyright remains with the photographer. Lagom and its suppliers reserve the right to use imagery for portfolio, marketing, and promotional purposes, subject to the guest consent provisions in Section 11.

24. Prints & Albums

24.1 Prints and albums may be purchased through approved professional suppliers.

24.2 Album design includes a limited number of revision rounds. Additional changes may incur fees.

24.3 Album orders must be confirmed within a reasonable period following delivery to guarantee availability.
