    • 0–21 days before arrival: non-refundable

Group bookings & events:

(Third-party/OTA bookings follow the cancellation policy listed on the relevant platform.)

If a separate policy has been agreed in writing, it will take precedence over the above.

7. Events & Group Bookings

7.1 Event spaces must be booked in advance and confirmed with Lagom staff.

7.2 No exterior events may take place unless the entire estate (Lagom Collective) has been booked and the event has been approved by Lagom management.

7.3 Lagom is intended for calm, wholesome gatherings such as family celebrations, retreats, and intimate events. We do not host rowdy or disruptive parties, and reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking that does not align with this ethos.

7.4 Noise levels must remain respectful of the property, neighbours, and other guests. No noise above general conversation is permitted outdoors past 10:30pm. Any music must be agreed and confirmed with Lagom in advance.

7.5 Unplanned or undeclared events are strictly prohibited. If guests arrive intending to host an event without prior approval, Lagom reserves the right to immediately refuse entry. No refund will be issued in these circumstances.

7.6 All external suppliers (including caterers, entertainers, or vendors) must be approved in advance by the Lagom team.

7.7 Guests are responsible for set-up, decoration, and clean-up unless otherwise agreed. Decorations must not cause damage, and all items must be removed at check-out. Any hired fixtures or equipment (such as tents, furniture, or catering units) must be delivered, set up, and removed entirely within the booked stay. Guests should allow sufficient time either side of their event to accommodate this.

7.8 Any additional cleaning resulting from an event, whether inside or outside, will incur a minimum fixed charge of £450 on top of any standard cleaning fee. If the condition of the property prevents or disrupts the arrival of the next booking (for example, the following day), the organiser will also be liable for the full value of that booking.

7.9 All personal belongings must be removed at check-out. Post-checkout occupancy, storage, or excessive mess may incur additional charges.

7.10 Lagom accepts no liability for damages or injuries during events. Event organisers indemnify Lagom against related claims.

8. Decorations

No adhesives or fixings: Tape, pins, nails, blu-tack, or any adhesives/fixings that could damage walls, ceilings, or furniture are strictly prohibited.

Hanging décor: Any hanging decorations must be free-standing or attached only to approved hooks/points. Draping from beams, trees, or fixtures must be confirmed in advance.

Candles & flames: Open flames (candles, lanterns, sparklers, etc.) are not permitted inside. Battery-operated alternatives are encouraged.

Sustainability: To align with our sustainability policy, we ask that no single-use plastics or disposable décor items are brought on-site. Please choose reusable, recyclable, or biodegradable options where possible.

Removal of décor: All decorations, props, and hired items must be removed completely before departure. Please ensure you take everything you bring — nothing is to be left behind.

Timing: Any hired décor or equipment must be delivered, set up, and removed entirely within the booked stay. Guests should allow sufficient time on either side of their event to manage this.

Damage liability: Any décor causing marks, damage, or requiring repair/cleaning will result in charges.
